Your Place or Mine?
Il giovane designer espone per la prima volta a Napoli, esplora in questa
personale ricerca la difficile condivisione del nostro habitat con le altre
specie di animali e vegetali utilizzando uno stile esatto e pulito.
I nostri letti, le nostre case, strade e parchi, le città che abitiamo e la
terra che coltiviamo sono condivisi con altre specie poco considerate , troppo
spesso dimenticate, ma che come noi pensano che questi luoghi siano la loro
casa. I lavori in mostra rappresentano un’indagine sensibile sull’impatto di questa
occupazione condivisa, per non dire forzata, attraverso oggetti - funzionali e
non - che incorporano idee, questioni, riflessioni. The exhibition explores the habitats we share with other species of plant and
animals. From our beds, houses, streets and parks, to the cities we inhabit and
the landscape we cultivate, each habitat is shared with countless other species
which also consider these places their home. The content of the exhibition
represents an investigation into the impact of this shared occupation through
functional and sculptural works that embody ideas, questions and observations
around this theme.

Umut Yamac,  architetto,  designer e artista concettuale, vive e lavora a
Londra. Nel 2009 fonda lo studio atelier rusinurbe come base per una serie di
progetti di design ‘speculativo’.
In mostra a Londra, il suo lavoro è stato recentemente pubblicato nel volume
Speculating with Architecture (Wiley&Sons, 2009) Umut Yamac is an architect and designer based in London. In 2009 he formed the
design studio rusinurbe as a platform for inquisitive design projects. He has
exhibited in London and his work was published most recently in the book
entitled ‘Speculating with Architecture’ by Wiley&Sons in 2009.
